Ministry
for Children
Children are central
to the heartbeat of Sugar Hill. “Come and see” how children
experience the love of Jesus in Worship, Christian
Education, Music, Service, and Fellowship. The Children’s
Christian Education ministry is guided by several committed
adults who celebrate the gift of children through special
events in the liturgical seasons and support the teachers.
Mrs. Carlyn Hubnik is the Director of Children's Education
who provides overall leadership and support for Children’s
Ministries. Children’s Christian education uses the Living B.I.G. curriculum. This is a hands-on, Bible story based
experiential guide for children learning and being disciples.

evangelize and disciple today’s children. Pioneer Clubs
provides a weekly club ministry for young people from age
two through sixth grade. Pioneer Clubs helps kids have fun,
learn new skills, build relationships, study the Bible, and
ultimately, learn to live for Christ in every aspect of
life. The Pioneer Clubs meet here every Wednesday night at
5:30 - 7:30 and are served a healthy meal.
Puppets
Every Monday
afternoon beginning at 5:30
There is no other ministry
quite like puppet ministry! Puppets are effective in
reaching, teaching, and entertaining audiences of all ages.
They aren't just for kids. Everybody loves puppets!
In the hands of dedicated puppeteers, these foam and fabric
creations can make us laugh, make us cry, and can even share
important Biblical messages. Puppets are fun and
non-threatening. As a caricature of humanity, they can
present significant truths in a manner that is easily
accepted, similar to the role of the court jester in days of
old. Many unique opportunities for ministry are available to
puppeteers, as puppets can open doors to unexpected and
surprising venues for sharing God's word.
We are
meeting every Sunday afternoon at 3:30 P.M. We would love
for your child to join us in this wonderful ministry. The
puppets age group is from 5th grade and older. We are
practicing for several plays and soon we will be going to
several different places to perform.
